In exactly 2 weeks, I will be in a completely new place. This new place, San Luis Obispo, rests 3 and a half hours north of the community in which I have spent the last 18 years of my life-aka Chapter 1.
Chapter 1 takes place in both Torrance and Redondo Beach, CA. If I had to describe it in just one word, the word would be: EXPERIENCE.
Oh, I could go on and on for days, probably months, describing the many experiences that took place during this time. But-notice the title of this blog: Chapter 2.
Moving away from everything and everyone at home scares me shitless, not going to lie about that one...but, I have a good feeling about Cal Poly SLO. It's definitely time for a change, or ten, to happen in my life. This summer has definitely been one of some drastic changes and what I've learned from these changes is that sometimes change is necessary. And, well, it's not always such a bad thing...just different. Sometimes enlightening and educational. Sometimes a little scary, but the universe tends to unfold itself as it should. So for now, I'm just going with the flow and accepting all that life throws my way.
Tonight I took a sunset stroll down to the harbor with my dog. I lifted both myself and him up on the wall that divides the ocean and the marina and together we observed the sunset and listened to the nocturnal sea lions that love to bark in the sleepy hours of the night and wake me up. I love my home so much.
